When Griffin got up, he tried to save his friend. That was not happening. I caught him by the leg and applied an ankle lock. He yelped in pain. Griffin was halfway on the stage and could do nothing as the life was chocked out of his friend. After half a minute in the hold, Garrett tapped out. Dash did not let go. He could not let go. Dash only wrenched harder and harder. He was going to kill Garrett. Garrett was crying and screaming in agony. Then he started choking visibly as his throat was totally blocked off by Dash's arm. The ref tried to get him to break the hold, but it was not use. Dash had it locked in. I let Griffin go. He hobbled him self over and punched Dash in the temple. It knocked Dash out. Garrett was also unconscious. Rex then bounded up after Griffin. Rex speared him and laid him out. Neither of them was going to answer the 10 count. That was when Jax walked over. He picked the unconscious Dash on his feet at the count of 8. At the count of 10, the ref called for the bell. Even though he was out on his feet, he was still upright. The referee called their match for Dash Forrest.
I knew that this was going to cause massive waves. Dash and Garrett had given everything they had in them. The Aces were left broken all over the arena. Jax carried a bruised and battered Dash to the back. Knox, Rex and I followed after them without a single word. Jax set him down on a chair. The very next night, we had a booked promo. One of the backstage interviewers wanted to speak to us with a camera crew. We obviously accepted it. This is what we had been waiting for. She smiled and said "Hello and good evening, OPW Universe. I am Emma Rose, and I am with Detective Davie Davids and the 3 Officer Mannings of Police Box. I wanted to see if I could get a word with you." she said with her professional voice. I smiled and said "We would love to talk with you. Our motto is to protect and serve after all." We were in character. As faces, of course we would go with the friendly officer route. She simply smiled warmly. "I'm sure you know that everyone is buzzing after you 4 all involved yourselves in the big Last Man Standing Match between Dash Forrest and Garrett Indigo."
Crossing my arms, I frowned. "Last night, we witnessed a vicious assault. A 4 on 1 beat down is not a fair match. How could we, 4 honest policemen, stand by and do nothing when a crime was happening? We evened the odds out there" I said. Emma just furrowed her brows. "But don't you think that you did a bit more than 'even the odds'? Officer Mannings personally picked Dash up when it looked like the match would end in a draw." she pointed out keenly. I looked at Jax. "The officer can speak for himself." I said. Even I was not sure why he picked Dash up. Jax looked at bit startled to see everyone looking at him. "Do you care to comment?" Emma asked him directly. It was then that he blushed. "Dash... is cute, I... guess." he said in a very small voice. Everyone was caught off guard by the answer. I cleared my throat loudly. I needed to spin this. "In Officer Jax's mind, cuteness is justice. We all have our own views on honor and justice. Maybe, you'll be able to find them out. If you excuse us, we have to go over our reports on the incident. Goodbye Emma." I said before walking off.
