Over the next month, the four of us were really busy. We were all interested in the 24/7 Championship and pursued it if given the chance. After giving it up to Liam Sage on our first Picric, each of us picked it up at least twice more. Liam was one of 6 wrestlers that jumped us backstage. We were no match from the onslaught that came our way. We were nothing if not determined though. We were going to get our getback. I was a three time champion. So was Knox. Rex and Jax were double champions twice over. Liam was champion six times, but that did not matter to us. Benson and Bryon finally got cleared to wrestle on Boom. Both only got it twice. Our records were also really good. Since forming the faction, I was 7-0. Knox was 6-1. Both Rex and Jax were 9-0. Every week saw all 4 of us in action. Jax and Rex defended the titles at the PPV, but were not satisfied with just that. They put the title on the line 4 times in a row. They churned through the #4 contenders all the way up to the top dogs in the division. Knox and I were chasing the Television title. We were getting close now.
That meant we were largely untouchable and a strong force on Boom. That was good enough as the title would be on the line in a 10 man over the top rope battle royale match. You had to throw your opponent over the top rope with both their feet touching the floor to eliminate them. The last man standing in the ring at the end would be the champion. That was nice. They were looking for volunteers in the back. There was the champion and the top 4 contenders. Everyone else was practically in limbo unless they clearly stated their division. My promo put all 4 of us in the tag team division. Getting singles matches was nice for our records and position in the division. It did not make many waves as far as the Television title was concerned. I told Knox to throw his hat in the ring. He shrugged his shoulders. He had not been in a battle royale before. "No time like the present to try. Who knows? You might be the champion by the end of the night." I said. He just nodded his head. Jax and Rex were both in action, putting the belts on the line again in a tables match. I also had a match.
It was a 1 on 1 match against Alvin Million. He was actually one of the weakest jobbers on Boom. I was happy to squash him like a bug. The match did not even last too long. A full 5 minutes was all that was needed to beat him bloody. I wanted to get to 10-0. That was a criteria for Legend and Hall of Fame status. I was now 8-0. Because of the series of title defenses, people were really starting to get behind them. As faces, it was our job to get the crowd to like us and cheer. I did not have a scratch on me, so I was able to manage Jax and Rex for their title match. Since they had gone through all the regular names for the tag titles, they would be facing some new jobbers from the training facility. They were called Dusk and Dawn. Both of them were actually really good at tables matches. Jax and Rex were not good at all here. Everyone was worn down and in the red all over. Dusk and Rex were duking out in the ring when Dusk threw Rex into the corner. Dusk had multiple finishers saved, so he could do an Uber Move. He did a massive superplex to the outside. Both were out cold.
Dawn and Jax were the only ones left that could finish this match. They were at ringside at the opposite end of the ring from Dusk and Rex. As they were fighting, Dusk hit his finisher on Jax. It was a facebuster on the thin mat covering the concrete floor. Jax was gushing blood from his head before. This did not help things at all. He was out cold. Dawn reached under the ring for a new table. There were a pair in the ring, but he did not have the stamina to lift Jax's dead weight. He set up the table and placed Jax on it. He then looked at the stairs and the ring post. He limped over and climbed the stairs to get to the apron. From there, he climbed up to the top rope. Jax had not moved a muscle. He was done for. If Dawn hit a move from the top rope and put Jax through the table, they would lose the tag titles. They also would lose out on the 10-0 record they worked so hard for. I had to help them out, both as a friend and as a manager. I rushed over and pulled Jax from the table myself. It was easy for me as I was still fresh. Jax was dead on his feet. Dawn did a diving drop kick on me.
