"No, she's supposed to marry Jay," Rachel said. Really, that wasn't the only reason she didn't want to marry Kyla. There was also the important fact that she wasn't a lesbian. But for some reason, she felt that Kyla getting married to Jay was better reason.
"Who's Jay?" her sister asked.
It wasn't until now that Rachel noticed that everyone was looking at her, like they were expecting her to do something. Of course, they were. They were expecting her to walk down the aisle and get married.
But how could any of this happen? Besides the fact that she'd never marry another girl, there was no way that she could disappear from one place and appear in another, instantaneously. Did she black out? Or have a sudden case of amnesia, erasing all her memories from when she was behind the library all the way to now?
"Rachel, get going. This is your big day. Don't spoil it," her sister said.
Slowly, Rachel walked down the aisle, all the time wondering how any of this was possible and also wondering if she could somehow get out of it.
Sighing to herself, she whispered "I wish ..."
