Now that we were under contract, it was time to make our debut on camera. Owen and Joseph were so pissed off that I was getting in ahead of them. I did not need to go and address them. They were beneath me. I was a real person and Player. They were NPCs. Now that I was in the company, there was no reason to come back to the training facility. It was the tutorial area for this game. Smiling, it was time to go to Boon and see what the new competition was like. One day, it would be my turn to beat a champion and take the title for myself. Getting on the road to championship glory would take time. It would take grit and some really good promos to get a push. The best that I could do was focus on the angle in front of me. This was my first big role. Doing well would be the key to getting that push. If not, I would have to find something else. Even with a push, it would not matter if I was not a good wrestler. If I genuinely sucked, things would not happen. If I kept losing, the title would be forever out of my hands. Keeping all my skills in the ring sharp was super important. I needed to win.

Rhett was not going to be revealed yet. He was masked up and then went wild at catering. It was amazing. There were 3 jobbers there. None of them could touch him as they were being pummeled. It was taped for the audience to see after the conclusion of the match going on. We got to see it in person. I was going to be known going forward as Detective Davids. Knox, Jax and Rex were all going to be Officer Mannings. That was their actual surname. If this went over well, we could probably form our own stable. We might be able to do really well if we kept winning. I knew that I was invested in making this go over well. Even if this fell flat with the crowd, I could still make it big if I actually kept winning my matches. I was not really into the idea of forming a big tag team anyway. I did not need anyone now. Especially not some random little NPC jobbers. I was in it largely for myself. The triplets wanted to hang out with me after the show. That was fine. The outside world was also important. We needed to travel and find lodging. OPW was in the same location. Others were not like this.

A larger wrestling promotion would be allowed to use all sorts of stadiums and arenas all over the world. That would be pretty nice. It was good to see that there were new opportunities for growth if I did well. We were flown over on a plane to the developmental arena. Rhett attacking the jobbers got a visceral reaction. The very next week on Boom, we opened the show with Rhett attacking someone who was the #4 contender for the Television title. It was pretty brutal. Rhett did not hold back. We came in halfway through the show. The general manager called for the #1 contender to report to his office. That was when he introduced him to us. We were assigned to the case to find who the attacker was as well as protect the #1 contender. The #1 contender was Ethan Liams. The current champion was Noah Mason. "Don't worry about it, Mr. Liams. We will protect you from this evil attacker." I said. Ethan looked at the general manager. "I do not need some pigs following me around." he spat. "I do not want my big title match getting messed up. I am sure that you feel the same way."
