The stone that was left in its place was known as the MLM Stone. A complicated wishing device that basically worked like Jon's previous wishing stone, except for the network it created.
When a wish was made that targeted a single person, they were added to that stone's network. The stone could support two people in its direct network. The targeted person wouldn't be added if they were already in someone's network.
When added to a network, a person got a copy of the MLM stone that worked exactly the same as the one above. This stone made it obvious to the new network member that it was a wishing stone and informed them of the general wishing rules. It did not inform them about the network when giving them the info dump. It also made them feel more at ease with making wishes, to help keep the chaos moving along.
However! The thing that made it into an MLM network: every second wish made by one of the direct network members would be granted as if wished by the current possessor of the MLM stone. That was every other wish total, not from a particular network member. And wishes made from being passed up the network counted as a wish made, so it could continue up the chain if the situation was right.
Each MLM stone is a small pyramid shape with a soft yellow color. Its corners and edges are rounded. On one side, there's a blemish that looks like an eye. The eye looks like it is closed, but when the next wish in your direct network is passed to you, the eye will be open.
