"I think I'll be kind," Sarah said, with a big smile. "The first person will be Karyn."
At her house, Karyn was lying on her bed, thinking about all the wishes she could make. But there was really only one thing she wanted right now and that was some way to reverse her "enhancements". The long blond hair wasn't too bad. She could just get it cut and, truth be told, she didn't really mind the blond color, although she'd rather have her original color back. But the breasts - there was really no easy way to fix that. She'd have to use the stone. But how would she do it?
She stood up and looked at herself in the mirror. Grabbing her too-large breasts (which looked like they were going to explode out of her shirt), she sighed. "Oh, I wish I never got these."
Suddenly, her shirt fell flat against her chest. She stared at her reflection, then pulled the collar of her shirt out. At first, she thought that her breasts were back to normal, but they weren't. She didn't have any breasts. Her chest was as flat as boy's chest. She felt between her legs and was relieved to know that she was still a "she". But she had no breasts.
As Karyn made her wish, Sarah saw the stone glowing. She smiled, knowing that the first "wish chain" wish was being granted.
Even though the "wish chain" worked independently of the stone, it still needed energy to function and it extracted it from the stone, which was why the stone glowed whenever a "wish chain" wish was granted.
Downstairs in the kitchen, Jon was getting something to drink for Sarah. Why was she even there? Yes, she said she needed help for history class. But they've had tough tests for history all year. Why did she pick now to get help from him? The only reason he could come up with was that she needed to get in his house. But why would she ...
Jon's eyes went wide and he dropped the glass he was pouring a drink into. It shattered on the floor with a crash. It must have been the stone she was after. And he left her alone in his room!
"Jon! What was that?" his mom yelled, from the living room.
"Shit," Jon said. "I wish I never allowed Sarah to come in." He looked down at the mess he made, as his mom ran into the room in a panic.
"Sorry. I accidentally dropped it," Jon said.
"What were you doing down here anyway?" she asked, getting paper towels to clean up the mess.
"I was getting a drink for Sarah."
"I thought she was here to study."
"Uh ... she is. Listen, I've got to ... um ... check on something," Jon said, moving quickly past his mom and out of the room. As he walked upstairs, he dreaded what he would find in his bedroom. In his mind, he pictured Sarah holding the stone and grinning. Maybe Jon was psychic, because that's exactly what he found when he entered his room.
