He couldn't believe he was doing this, but he had no other option. It seemed no wonder what he picked he would have to pick some weird outfit-and his own clothing was nowhere to be seen at all so he found himself slipping into this outfit instead. Slipping on the gloves, the boots and followed by the red dress. It all felt weird on him. Then came the headdress. He had considered leaving it out because it wasn't really needed but… hell, he had already gone this far right? What did it matter at this point? So he latched it fully into place and, just like that he was fully fitted in the cosplay of the Uma herself.
“Finally… ok let's get this over with, they can only laugh at me for so long right?”
He could try to reassure himself with that at least. If nothing else he was sure Karyn would have his back with this, even if she got a bit of a laugh first. He just had to explain the situation to her. It was everyone else bound to see him that had him worried but ….. delaying things would help any, he needed to rip off the bandaid and get this over with. With a deep breath he began to make his way towards the stairs…..
….when something caught the corner of his eye
Not far from the stairs sat a mirror, odd to be in the laundry room but he supposed it was useful for some. No what shocked him was what was reflected in that mirror, or more accurately how HE reflected in that mirror.

The reflection in that mirror… wasn't him. No it was the character herself, the one that should be wearing this outfit-were it not a cosplay before. Silver hair, horse ears, a tail?! But no… the most concerning thing was the fact that the reflection on the mirror was a WOMAN in every sense of the word. Why? Why was his reflection that of the character? That horse girl?! Did he… did he somehow become her when he put on the cosplay?!
In a panic John looked down at himself, quickly sighing in relief. Despite what the mirror showed it seemed that he was still physically himself. What did this mean though? Did his reflection show the characters for some reason?
….was that how other people were going to see him?
…No, surely not, that would be ridiculous! The mirror was probably just some sort of prank mirror. That's what he wanted to believe. That HAD to be true.
Taking a deep breath he looked in the mirror, at this opposite reflection.
“At least I didn't actually change, I'm still John Gold Ship!”
His eyes went wide, what did he just say?
"John Gold Ship! I'm John Gold Ship of course!”
There it was again, instead of his name, which he knew he was trying to say, he kept saying the name of the horse girl, Gold Ship. What was worse was that he only seemed to be saying it more and more confident the more he said it, even his expression in the mirror showed it as that last time he had posed and everything, confidence radiated in his features, a confidence he did not have in truth.

What was going on here? This was just some cosplay, that was just a mirror… right? Why was all this happening
“Gold Ship! Come on now, we need to get to practice”
The voice he heard was familiar, it was someone he knew. But why were they calling him Gold Ship? None of this made sense! None of this….
He felt a shiver run through his body then, before he knew it he was making an odd pose, eyes lidded as he made weird movements, turning in a circle.

“Radar alert…. Radar Alert…. Trainer Signal detected”
The words slipped from his mouth along with his movements before he knew what was going on, earning a laugh from the person who he could now hear coming down the stairs.
What was going on?! Why was all this… he was just trying to get out of the laundry room! A simple costume shouldn't turn things upside down like this!
And yet he could only remain shocked as the person that had been calling to him finally reached the bottom of the stairs and stood before him.
“Ok enough antics Gold Ship, we really do need to get back, I know you don't take a lot seriously but you at LEAST have to show up…”
It was time for his eyes to go wide once more as he saw who stood before him, because that person was…..
Who stood before John Gold Ship?
