When Jon walked through the door to his home he almost fell over his sister.
"Hey, jerk, watch where you're going!"
Zoe, 2 years his junior, was sitting on the hallway floor trying to tie her long, high-heeled boots. She was clothed in a long, black dress, and her face was made up pale, with contrasting details. She was the opposite of Jon: spontaneous, independent and confident. Jon, on the other hand, was more of a thinker, preferring to plan out in advance, and he didn't have the great confidence his sister seemed to have. Though, despite their different nature, or maybe because of it, they had a good relationship.
"Sorry, I was completely in my own thoughts," he answered. "Do you need help with those shoes?"
"Would you? Thanks."
Jon helped his sister, and as she left, he walked up to his room. He had a fantasy, a bit of a weird one, which as much as he'd thought about it over the years, he would never be able to live out. However, with the stone everything was possible. On the other hand, he didn't want to live out the fantasy for the rest of his life. And what if something went wrong? He'd just have to set a time limit, or some other way of fulfillment, to his wish.
