Neither wanted to play anymore. "That is not a ball of cotton in the sky. That is a collection of water vapor. You are cheating!" 01 hissed. Shaking my head, I said "You are just jealous that you lose. I can find everything you see on the road without even looking out of the window. You can't even guess one thing that I've seen." That did not change their minds. The AEP units just wanted to sulk as we made our way out to the beaches. That was fine with me. I did not get driven a lot in the game. Seeing all of the scenery pass me by was nice. When we got to the Heat Clan's territory, I had them park 3 blocks from their blockade. We were going to need to scope out what we were going to work with. 09-003 and 01 were with me. There were several checkpoints with guards making patrols. I had to make sure that they did not fly of the handle and kill people too early. There were 3 of us. We could use 3 more. I got out my phone and dialed up Liam, the AEP unit that got captured. He was named after the ex of one of the people that held him hostage. Liam a member of Heat Clan. He answered.

Under the circumstances, I probably needed to reach out to him anyway. It had been almost 5 whole days since then. "Hello. Is everything alright, Brianne." he asked me with concern in his voice. "I'm better than fine. Lot's of the other clans are making moves and I need to keep sharp." I said as I looked up at the street signs at the corner next to the checkpoint. "Oh? Uh... alright. Are you going to tell me about it? I can get our leader on the call." he offered. I shook my head. "No thanks. I would like it if you sent 3 of your younger AEP units out to meet me. I think that I'm going to need them for a bit." I told him before giving him the address that I was at. "You are by one of the checkpoints. You need to be careful. They have your face in their database." he warned me. I knew that. I was keeping hidden by ducking into an alley. "I will send 3 of them to you. Just make sure to take really good care of them. This will be their first time outside of the clan building." he said quietly. He did not have the authority to do that. Liam did not have the authority to go out. It was just that they had nice friends.

Playing with friends and helping humans was part of their core identity. They could not resist. Doing so also benefitted their purposes. Having fun with friends allowed all them to gather information. It also maintained the good will that many humans in the regions had for the cyborgs that saved their economy and their shoreline from all the monsters. Those hostile creatures were born from their crazy amounts of human pollution. The same thing was true in the desert. The cyborgs there had no reason to solve that problem. Not many humans lived out there. The ones that did were counting on the creatures to scare away people that would hunt the refugees and criminals down. Heat Clan AEP units were also pretty meek and mild when it came to personality as well. Humans could get along with them easily. After waiting 30 minutes, I saw them approach from the other side of the checkpoint. As they were approaching the guards to get through, I nudged 01 and 09-003. "It's almost time." I said. The 3 AEP units tried to walk passed them. The soldiers had an X-ray scanner. The 3 got caught.
