Obviously the children would start laying eggs when they came of age. Benny and Kenny were the oldest, so they were up first. Their rate of production was 3.15. They could feel them all when they came in. Everyone could see the bump on their tummies too. Kenny took it like a champ. He took a squat and got the first one out on the fifth try. He got the second one out on the third. He messed up on the third stage of the second attempt. That egg went right back inside. He got frustrated, but I calmed him down. "Don't worry. Just focus on getting those eggs out." I said gently. Kenny only needed one try to get the third one out of him. Benny cried when he failed 4 times in a row to get the first one out. He was so upset it took him 8 tries to clear the second egg. Benny was trying to brute force it. I grabbed him by the shoulders and make him look at me. Quickly I said "Calm down. Take some deep breaths with me." We breathed in and out together. He then got the second egg out. It still took him 2 tries to get the third egg out of him. This was their lives now. They had to get used to all of it.
It was not long before the others followed suit. Evan, Fuyuta, Haruto, Natsumi, and Akira had to lay their first eggs as well. On the first 3 days of their production cycle, all the quadruplets laid 3 eggs like Benny and Kenny. On the fourth and fifth days, they only had to lay 2. Once every 6 or so days, Benny and Kenny would drop a fourth egg. I was correct when I predicted Fuyuta, Haruto, Natsumi, and Akira would be grateful about that. Evan would lay an egg 3 out of 4 days. On the fourth day, he was happier than I had seen him in a long time. I made sure to set his expectations correctly. I did not want him to feel crushed by the despair the next day. That might not be something that one could easily bounce back from. As his father, I wanted to protect him from that. Willow was the youngest in the house. When he started, he would lay an egg every single day. Four out of five days would see them lay a second egg. That was just as I had predicted. What I had not predicted was the quality. I expected gray eggs from them. Kenny, Benny and Willow laid bronze eggs. The others, silver.
Personally, I should not be surprised. The whole point of the children having high development was so that they could surpass their parents. They all had the skill points of someone well above level 34. At level 30, you started to lay the bronze eggs. At level 40, the eggs became silver. Fuyuta, Haruto, Natsumi, and Akira were on the verge of laying golden eggs at this rate. There was no point to stop them from it. When they laid 3 eggs, I collected them all. I had them all stand in a line. "Pass your eggs down the line. Akira, give your eggs to Fuyuta." I instructed them. They did as they were told. They looked scandalized when I told them to eat an egg and pass the rest down. It was for their growth and development. Eating 3 silver eggs meant 6 levels, 15 attribute points and 450 HP points. After seeing it was not a joke they did as commanded. They all became level 19. The next day, their eggs were gold. They had the skill points of someone level 54. They were 6 levels away from laying platinum eggs. Since there were 8 children, it was easy for them to pass off all their gold eggs.
