The long walk continued to Melissa's car in the mall parking lot. Jon cursed her high heels every step of the way, the odd angle that her feet were now forced into caused her arches to ache and the incessant click-clacking was slowly driving her crazy.
"Why do women even bother with these things anymore? They hurt like hell if you have to walk more than a few feet here and there. Besides, I don't think I've never been attracted to a woman for the sole purpose of her wearing high heels."
Jon's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a ringtone rap song with a repetitious chorus of "booty-bustin". Turning around she saw Melissa answer his phone. Jon rolled her eyes. "Why did Melissa have to be turned into such a stereotypical bro?"
"Yeah...okay...cool...later," said Melissa, pocketing his phone. "Hey, Jon. We've got a quick detour to take before we hit Sarah's house."
"I'm kind of in a hurry, Melissa. Could it wait until after you drop me off?"
"It won't take that long."
"Yeah, but I'm kind of in a hurry."
Melissa fished his car keys out of his pocket and unlocked the car. "My car, my rules. You can always walk," replied Melissa, ending the discussion.
Seeing no other choice, Jon conceded. "Ok, where do we have to go to first?"
