"You're sure that thing won't spread to anyone else?" The captain seemed bored. Still.
"In the story I had in mind... it just compounded on the one officer continually adding more terms to the sequence. It wont spread, just keep making more, smaller, officers." Miss Warren had intended much of this during her narrating days, but the bigger plan was getting away from her. She was still about as surprised as anyone could be.
"Let's hope they don't each want a unqiue paycheck."
