Jumping online, he looked on the forums to see if anything similar happened to other people. People posted about a lot of stuff. Some of it was helpful. Some of it was a hodge podge of effort posts or just humor and ironic memes. He found something scrolling far down on the advice board. A man with a Black Key posted on the forum a year ago. He gave a short story about how his Key fell from his arm after the 500th activation. That would make him a level 50 Key. People did not believe him. It was so ridiculous that it was downvoted near to the bottom. It was just like the man had posted last year. Chester also had some instinctual sense that it had to do with his status as someone over level 50. He looked to see if he added anything else about it on the replies. He was asked if he could still use his Key. He said that he could. A couple of months later, he replied to his own post. He was not doing well. He had apparently fucked the wrong woman. She was a gang leader's girl. As punishment, he was forced to Bond with a male Lock. The Lock was a teen. He was only level 7. Their Bond took.
Keeping himself active, the Black Key was only a level 3 again. The boy was a Blue Lock. He could not activate his powers with anyone else. The same was true for the man with the Key. It all changed when he brought a girl home. She saw the Black Key and asked him about it. He told her about it and let her hold onto it. Things went ahead and soon they were ready to fuck. When he penetrated, the Key still in her breast pocket began to glow. The girl came on the first thrust. It was his Key reacting to his presence and sexual activity. People believed that story even less than the original post. Chester believed. If he was starting almost from scratch again, he would need to be careful. He could not go messing with decent level Keys anymore. That Red Key that he just met was level 5. It would not take much for him to force a Bond now. He needed to keep this Lock safe. If anything happened to him, this would be his back up. White marks dealt with fertility, but it was clear from the faint purple shine it gave off that it had absorbed some nice power from their Blue and Red Keys as well.
Liking his new position, Chester smiled wide. He had to bite down a laugh. He was now the same as he was at level 9. Chester only needed 10 more activations before he would return to level 10. That was when the Lock would begin to jut out from his skin again. He wanted to get it done sooner rather than later. Who knew when Kyle or the new Red Key would come after him again?
