"Mom?" Jon asked, running towards her mother. She had used the stone to transport her to wherever her mom was transported to. She ended up inside the grocery store, because that's where the chain wish sent her mother. It took her some time to figure out that her mom wasn't in the store, but actually outside in the parking lot.
"Jon? What are you doing here?" she asked her daughter.
"Mom, you haven't made any wishes have you?"
"Wishes? Honey, what do you mean?"
As they talked, Jon noticed something shimmering out of the corner of her eye. Before she got transported to the store, she made a wish to always notice when reality changed, just as a precaution. And something was changing right now.
Andrea chose a shopping cart and pushed it down one of the aisles. Just like her son Leonard, she was overweight. Apparently, it was a genetic thing, because she actually did try to lose weight before, but it didn't take. So, if she was going to be fat, she might as well enjoy it. Into her cart went some of the most unhealthy foods and drinks that anyone could imagine.
As she picked up two jumbo bags of sweets, people were starting to stare. Why don't people just mind their own business? she thought. Yeah, I'm fat. So what?
She groaned, then muttered "I wish ..."
