Jane pushed her filled-up cart into the checkout line, ready to pay for her purchases. But when she got to the cashier, she discovered that she didn't have her purse. (Only Jane and anything she was touching was transported to the store, so her purse didn't go with her.) Thinking that someone might have stolen it, she said "Oh, I wish I had my purse back." Then, suddenly, her purse appeared over her shoulder. But she didn't notice.
"Isn't that your purse?" the cashier girl asked.
"Huh?" Jane looked and felt relieved. "Oh, yeah it is. I don't know why, but I didn't even notice it." She took out her credit card and paid for her food.
Jon ran back to her room, stone in hand. After making sure the door was closed, she sat down on her bed, wondering how she should handle the situation.
