Jae the elven library assistant was about to ask the twin huntresses their names when a light engulfed the three of them, putting them in an empty brig aboard the ship science officer Warren was explaining herself on.
"Captain, three pattern signatures in Cell 7." A technician commented dryly. Nothing was surprising at this point, it seemed.
"And is that your doing as well, 'officer'? Is that the RedStone from the planet below?" The captain was a hard read, capable of giving entirely false emotional readings and psychic profiles to throw off all manner of subversion, and Lydia knew from experience that ability had been well assayed by many adventures.
"Well, the narration didn't say if they still had it, but those are the people who would have it," Lydia stammered. She remembered so many different paradigms of reality at the moment, and was still reeling from a lifetime of education memories and more than a few experiences across the stars on this very vessel.
"More magic tricks, elf?" One of the identical huntresses jeered at Jae, seemingly enjoying the odd situation.
"We don't suppose this is from the stone's magic as well, is it?" The other added in a concerned emotional register.
Jae was about to respond when the silver fluid she'd dipped the stone in made its way back to her own head. Her clothing became a dark cowl with silvery embroidery, and her face was covered by a cowl and mask. She was the stealth archer of their party, after all!
"Just tell me your new names for this session, you two. I'll explain the set up after," Jae said, mentally DM-ing their story to herself.
"We're Jara and Kara, ma'am? When have we ever not been?"
Jae smirked under her face covering. How ever can they not know?
