Sarah, invisible to everyone in the room, looked at Karyn and smiled. It was clear that Karyn's friendship with Jon was dwindling away and Sarah couldn't be happier. It was a nice little side effect of the wishes she made.
She walked around the table and towards the one occupied by the cheerleaders, jocks ... and, yes, Jon.
Everyone (including her parents) thought that she was at home, sick. But she wasn't. She was actually at school ... not that anyone would notice, though. Thanks to a wish, she made it so that no one could see or hear her. She also made the stone invisible, as long as she was invisible. This way, she could keep an eye on Jon and make as many wishes as she pleased, without anyone noticing her.
As Sarah stood there, she watched Jon giggling at the joke that one of the jocks had made. She smiled. Jon was certainly getting into the role. But she didn't want him to be too comfortable. She was doing all of this to humiliate him, after all.
Clutching the stone, Sarah said "I wish ..."
