"I do not have the stone anymore."
Karyn heard the words, and did not know what to make of them. Was Jon kidding? IS he just trying to piss her off? She had enough of this act one way or the other, and was just about to start screaming at Jon, when he added, "Sarah now has the stone, and she is in control of me. I am completely and totally screwed."
Karyn could see that there was not a hint of amusement in Jon's face, and that he seemed to be on the verge of tears with this admission. She was looking at how destroyed his facial expression was, and she could not bring herself to look into his eyes anymore. As she looked down, away from his sad gaze, she saw that Jon's bare feet looked completely bizarre. In fact, they looked like her feet. Jon saw what she was staring at, and decided to go all in. He then said, "That is not all. I am actually female from there to here."
With that, he pointed to just above his waist. Karyn realized what he was telling her and her eyes grew wide with realization. She stammered some incoherent sounds, and Jon then decided to tell her everything that happened, including the full set of wishes that Sarah made upon him before leaving.
The two of them were sitting quietly in awkward silence, when Jon's mom screamed up to them that she really needed them to get in gear and get to the grocery store so she could complete her tasks in the kitchen for the night.
In continued silence, Jon got a couple of pairs of socks on, so that he could fill out his sneakers, and then the two kids left for the store.
