Jon acted fast, because while it didn't seem like the world had ended just yet, maybe there was a little time this wish needed to fully kick in? Jon didn't think that was how the Stone worked, but he wasn't keen on finding out, so he swiped the stone and blurted out "I wish...!"

What to wish for? He couldn't undo wishes...

"...uh, I wish I had a way to modify the wish I just made!"

Flash!

... Jon could have kicked himself, that wish was about as vague and open-ended as the wish he was trying to undo! It also didn't seem to do anything, but, again...

"I mean, like, I wish I could choose what that last wish did!" Jon quickly spit out, evidently not having learned any lessons about impulsive wishing.

Flash again!

... Soooooo nothing was happening. Again. Jon was about to make his 4th impulsive and inadvisable wish in a row (this time for information), when, most inconveniently, his phone buzzed. Just like that, the wish he probably shouldn't have made anyway vanished from his brain, and was replaced by the checking of the cellular device.

Would You Rather...?

  1. Restore your smartphone's normal functions, get no more notifications like this, pass up the opportunity to modify your wish and go on as if nothing happened?

  2. Play a little game with the Magic in your Life now? You'll get more notifications like this, allowing you to make some choices about what happens next, but no chickening out! Something "Interesting" will happen whatever you decide~...

In 14:59, if you haven't made a decision, Option 1 will chosen by default.
CHOOSE CAREFULLY, YOU CAN'T UNDO THIS!

The seconds were counting down as Jon watched. Nothing else was present on the screen, not even indications of battery life or any of his phone's other normal functions. In fact, experimentally clicking the power button or the volume buttons revealed they no longer did anything: the Wish had effectively hijacked his phone from the roots up, and left him with just the two buttons.

This gave Jon pause, but not too much pause. The better choice, he thought, was obvious.
