Sarah wished up a picture of a color wheel and saw that everything surrounded the color pink, not black anymore. And it seemed that a few colors were even missing, but she was having a hard time picturing them. Blu ... ble ... gruen ... gream ... no, she couldn't even remember the names. She concentrated a little more and then she remembered. Blue and green and ... yellow? Yeah, that was it. For some reason it was difficult to remember. However, it wasn't hard to remember that those other colors existed, since she heard her own wish. It was just weird.
When she heard footsteps approaching from out in the hall, she hid the stone where she found it. The door opened and Jon walked in, with a glass of some sort of pink liquid. Maybe it was fruit punch?
Sarah almost fell into laughter at the sight of Jon. His gray T-shirt was replaced by a lavender one and his blue jeans were now pink.
"Why are you smiling?" he asked, confused.
"Uh, no reason. Say Jon, could you get a snack for me too?"
"Why didn't you ask me before?"
"I didn't think about it," she said. "Sorry."
Jon looked at her for a moment, wondering why she was trying to be nice. More nice than usual, anyway. He shrugged it off and walked back down to the kitchen.
Sarah took a sip from her glass, then looked at it. "This isn't punch. It's ... root beer? Pink root beer? I wonder what else is pink?" She moved Jon's pillow and grabbed the stone again.
