Jen, who found it quite disturbing that she couldn't even think of herself as Jon anymore, simply stared out the window on the way to the club. Zoe had tried to make some conversation, but seemed to sense that something was wrong with her sister.
After a few minutes, they pulled up to a tall building with loud music blaring from it. Jen recognized it as The Spike pit. Though she had never been in there, she knew Zoe had, and that it was one of the seedier clubs in town.
"All right, sis. I don't know what's wrong with you tonight, but I'm sure it's nothing a good time here at the club can't fix." Zoe said, taking Jen's hand and leading her into the club.
If Jen had thought the music was loud from outside, then the noise from inside was unbearably so. Despite her thinking this, however, she found her body slightly swaying to the beat. She wondered why for a moment before pushing it out of her mind.
"Ooh, there's Trevor and Dan." Zoe said, pointing to two goth boys across the room. "I hope we're not too late."
Jen recognized Trevor as Zoe's boyfriend, but Dan was a new name to her. Despit this, her body seemed to react when she heard his name...
