In fact, no one thought that anything was out of the ordinary. But that was because Rob saw the same thing almost everywhere he went. Next door, Mrs. Peterson seemed to have switched places with her pet cat. A few houses down, Mrs. Carey had switched places with her poodle. The animals acting like humans and the humans acting like animals. Even though Rob hadn't used the remote on those people, reality had somehow rewritten itself to make it all commonplace, that that sort of thing would happen. If Rob had to guess, he'd say that pets all across the world had switched personalities with one of their owners, usually the female one (like his mother).
This was all too bizarre for Rob. That voice that gave him the remote wanted him to change the world. But was this really what the voice meant? Maybe he should change things back to normal and make some other kind of change. What should he do?
