Did I actually say that? Did I actually agree to strip? All the way back to the bar I was trying to figure out how to get out of this. Suzie seemed so excited to see me 'work' that I could hardly get a word in else wise. Like back in the salon I was beginning to see some of her 'kinks' show through. I think it was turning her on!
"Hey Misty, I see you're back!" Dave said as we moved through the already packed barroom. "You gonna do the show then?"
"You bet she is." Suzie replied for me. "She can't wait to get up there and strut her stuff for the guys!"
"Great!" Dave said. "Just send down your play list and I'll have you on the schedule for the 8:00 performance and the 9:30. Plus we always have a side stage ready for you."
"Um, great." I mumbled as Suzie ushered me up to my room.
Once we made it to my room Suzie quickly had me out of my street clothes and into some very frilly lingerie and a short red dress. I was beginning to get an anxiety attack. I might actually have to go through with this!
"I don't think I can do this." I finally blurted out to Suzie as she was strapping a pair of way too high heels on my dainty feet. "I'm not even that good of a dancer!"
"Nonsense, I'm quite sure you are an awesome dancer!" She told me as she finished with the shoes and picked up the music list. "Or should I say that Misty is an awesome dancer."
"But Suzie, I'll be taking off my clothes, for men!" I cried.
She laid the music sheet down and sat down on the bed next to me. "Dave, first thing, the majority of the people in the room downstairs are just NPCs. They are just computer-generated images. The few that are players don't know you from Jack Shit."
"And besides," She said. "All you are showing them is more computer images! This isn't the real you! The real you is back home hooked into the game, this is just an avatar you are controlling. Who cares if they see your avatar's naked body? Now quit worrying so much and try to have some fun!"
She got up and phoned down some songs for me to dance to while I sat there thinking about what she had said. This might have been where everything went wrong (Or right depending on your perspective) but she had made a whole lot of sense.
"Time to get to work!" She grinned pointing to the clock. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I let it out slowly as I got up and let my body flow naturally as I strutted out the door for my first performance.
