With great excitement we announce the asset package! Small items can be created with ease using new breakthroughs in our reality alteration protocol. Misplace your reading glasses, need lip balm, missing a cup of sugar? None of this is a problem with this package!
Additional features include extradimensional assets.
Jeff was unenthused by the brief description which he found odd and stared at that last sentence for a long minute before going to google and finding a forum of other users who were describing their experiences...
Apparently, the next screen had a moderately sized text box that allowed a description of the item you wanted the machine to generate. The forum was alive with people commenting the things they've tried. Funny situations, warnings of what not to try, cool things to try, ideas for revenge and the benefits of this package soon became pretty clear. It's safer to carry some magic wand or enchanted orb that can perform some task that you want performed outside the house rather than taking the emitter. And depending on what that task is, its less suspicious to not be carrying a futuristic ray gun when your landlord suddenly disappears without a trace and an infant appears, a wand that only responds to you, and only when you speak in rhyme would make you much less likely to get caught, and losing possession of the wand wouldn't be dire.
The forum had its share of fandom representation, a variety of potions had a multitude of blurbs about them, a healing potion seemed to cure almost anything, though there were some comments on restoration or remove curse being needed instead. Animals couldn't be summoned but the concept of breaking an item to perform the summoning did circumvent this, and adding words like "permanent" and "will understand and obey the summoner" means some guy in Michigan has a Gryphon to replace his car now.
Apparently otherworldly itching power is much more severe than what we have here, and the Chronivac can't seem to remove effects imparted by these objects directly. Someone was complaining about a belt of dwarven kind for just that reason.
Jeff was intrigued enough to consider trying it, and cautioned enough to be careful... limited duration, or mundane items seem like a safer option.
