"Because you're in the running for prom queen!"
"What?! How is that possible?!" asked Jon, shocked. "I'm a guy!"
"I don't know, but nobody seemed to question the nomination." said Karyn. "That and the fact that you..."
"I what?"
"You borrowed one of my dresses for homecoming last fall, you really seemed to enjoy wearing it, you said you were always going to wear dresses to the dances."
"That's impossible!" said Jon. "I don't like wearing dresses, I've never worn a dress in my life!"
"Don't you remember, we went to homecoming as friends?"
"Yeah, but... Where are you going?"
Karyn went over to Jon's bookshelf where he kept his photo album. She opened it to the page which had their portrait taken at homecoming. Jon remember the photo, but not the way it looked now. Instead of his suit and tie, he was wearing a shiny red dress and make-up.
"This is just too weird, I need to think of a wish to stop it."
They tried for a while, but his prom dress still hung there waiting to be worn.
"Well, I guess I'll have to just do this thing." said Jon. "At least we can go together and try to get through this."
"Actually, um, Jon, you've already got a date..."
"What? Who?" asked Jon, terrified to hear the answer.
"Well, you probably don't remember, but you've been going steady with him for a couple weeks now...."
