Sarah sighed, she had known that it was going to come to this eventually. A confortation with Karyn was inevitable now that Jon/ Paige was her friend. She sat down on her demolished bed and looked at the floor with a sad look.
"Here. You can have the rock back, it can't help me." Sarah muttered to her toes.
Karyn stood speachless, this had to be trick. Karyn stood staring at her enemy but Sarah, who had placed the stone at the end of the bed, didn't look up or move to stop her taking the stone.
Karyn cautiously took the stone, she new something was wrong with it, so to test it out she made a small wish.
"I wish I had a can of Diet pepsi"
The stone glowed and a can of Diet Pepsi appeared in Karyn's hand. She stared at the soda with disbelief.
"Don't worry it's the real one. Like I said, it can't help me." Sarah said.
Karyn looked over at her rival at realized with a shock that Sarah was crying. She was shaking slightly with her face in her hands. Karyn didn't know what to do, on the one hand she had hated this girl for years but Karyn wasn't a cruel person and the sight of Sarah crying stuck a coard in her.
Karyn bit her lip and then sat down next Sarah on the bed. Sarah didn't look up but began to sob.
"Karyn... I (sob) I'm sorry." She muttered between her sobs and tears slid down her face. "I (sob) I haven't always been nice to you and I (sob) I'm sorry. To (sob) to tell you the truth... I... I envy you."
Karyn blinked with suprise.
"You envy me?? Why?" She asked.
She looked at Karyn now, and her tears shone on her face.
"You have everything, you're smart, funny, and people respect you for that. The only thing people see when they look at me is my looks." Sarah said.
"But why don't you just wish..."
"Because it wouldn't be me doing it! It would be the stone doing it, I wouldn't have earned it. If I didn't earn it there would be no point, in having it. Is it really so wrong for me to want others to see me for who I am inside? I could wish for that, but I would know that they only liked me like that because I wished it that way. I don't want that, I want to earn it."
