"Sabrina?" It was hard to tell at first, but Sarah could make out some of the features of the goth girl.

The Sabrina Johnson she knew had very pale skin, hair dyed bright pink, and wore dark makeup. Befitting a member of the goth crowd she wore dark clothes that Sarah had thought on occasion were a hypocritical way of demanding attention despite wanting to sound like an outsider. It had always come off as pathetic and weird to her.

The version giving her a condescending look was like everything Sabrina hated. Her blonde hair looked glossy and shined in the warm sunlight. With the rich tan her skin had she clearly spent plenty of time outside. The clothes she wore were comfortable, but all name brands Sarah was used to shopping for herself. From head to toe Sabrina looked like she belonged on the McMillan side of the gate.

"It's bad enough wasting time on you at school, so what do you want?" Sabrina demanded once more. From her expression and body language she clearly believed Sarah was beneath her.

"Is she one of your classmates Sabrina?" Susan turned away from Sarah entirely, ignoring the dark haired young girl.

"She's just some loser who always has her nose in a book. The type of stuff she's into is even too weird for some of the nerds." Sabrina faced Susan, talking as if Sarah was not even there. "Trust me mom, I have no clue what this freak is doing here."

"She's rather rude showing up and standing there slack jawed like an idiot." Susan chuckled, side eyeing the girl outside the gate.

"I was just... This is supposed to be..." Sarah was too lost in shock to form a coherent sentence.

"Supposed to be what?" Sabrina put a hand to her hip. "If you have something to say spit it out or get lost."

Sarah knew her mother didn't recognize her at all. Sabrina had called her mom and they both accepted it as true. Somehow she had been replaced in her own life.

Sarah recalled a particularly interesting example of body swapping in the second book of...

Why did her mind keep wandering to that stuff? She had more important things to worry about!
