"This whole thing is just weird." Sarah told herself as she saw Jon and the mystery blonde turn a corner and vanish from her sight. "And why did she think I'd be looking for Jon's sister?"
Sarah was vaguely aware Jon had a younger sister in the goth crowd. That freak and her friends believed in that occult nonsense.
"Maybe one of my tomes could help me decipher this situation?" Sarah put a hand to her hip, the other rubbing the back of her neck as she thought. "This reeks of some high level mag-!"
Sarah froze where she stood. What the hell was she saying? Magic was some fake bullshit. Her family didn't own any books related to that junk.
"I need some fresh air." She walked the familiar halls filled with unfamiliar people until she got outside.
Sarah took some deep breaths as she composed herself. She was a McMillan for God's sake. She just needed to focus.
"Maybe Melissa or Tiffany know something?" They had been together when everything started changing. They didn't seem to be aware like she was, but that didn't mean they didn't know anything.
Sarah pulled out her phone to find it was not hers. It was a different model with a black case that had odd stickers on it.
"First different clothes, now my phone is different too?" Sarah shook her head as she opened her text messages.
Scrolling through her recent contacts revealed no trace of Melissa or Tiffany. Their names didn't exist anywhere in the messages.
"What is happening? Wait, I still have Amber at least." Sarah was pleased at least one of her group was still reachable.
"There you are Sarah. We were waiting for you." Sarah heard her name called out for the second time since all the girls in school had changed.
Looking to her left Sarah saw a girl approaching her.
