"Karyn?" I asked, not really sure why she was here.
"Remember? We're best friends, and you promised we could help each other." She held up the stone in her hand, a grin on her face. "I just hope it works this time."
I was silent for a moment as I watched her. I couldn't what Karyn's relationship was like with my female self. "What do you mean by that?" I asked slowly.
"Well," Karyn shrugged, "to be a boy."
"I don't think that's a good idea"
She smiled at me, her fingers playing across the surface of the stone. "No, I really think this is a good idea. I think it's a great idea, in fact."
"Karyn," I began again, but she cut me off.
"It's nothing against you, Jon. You've always been my best girlfriend, but, well. Let's just say that I like you more than a normal friend. I've always wanted to know what it was like to be a guy, and it will give us an opportunity to do things we couldn't do as two girls."
She paused for a second, "Unless I'm not your type. We've been friends for years now, and we've always been open with each other. I know how you feel something about me" She looked down for a moment, a flush coming to her face as she held her arms together, prominently displaying her breasts. "Aren't you a little curious?"
"So you're sure you want to be a guy?" I asked her, knowing that there was nothing I could say or do to dissuade her.
"Yes. I'm positive." She looked up at me with that look she always had, the one where her eyes seemed to sparkle with mischief. "But only if you want me to."
I smiled and nodded at her. It was a little weird being a girl, but I always had a crush on Karyn. At least this way we could officially be a couple. The thought of a guy lusting after my new body was still off-putting through. I picked up the stone and handed it to her. "I trust you. Do whatever you think feels right."
She nodded and I could see a light of excitement in her eyes. "Yes. I'm ready. I wish I had been born male."
I saw the flash of light, and when it faded, Karyn was still standing in front of me. Except now she had an athletic male body with the same blonde hair, blue eyes, and handsome face. She had broad shoulders and a muscular chest with a small amount of hair on it.
"I look great" Karyn said, admiring her body. She had a nice, athletic build. "You look great as well!" I couldn't help but stare at the bulge in Karyn's pants. I knew she was attracted to my new body before the change, so I had no reason to be surprised, but it was still an abnormal sight.
