"Susie?"
The blue-haired elf turned around. It was her alright. I remembered one of the pictures of her that she had sent to me over the internet.
"David?"
"That's right," I answered. "Except, it's Myron now."
She smiled as I walked towards her. She turned around once, showing off her body. "Well? What do you think?"
"I love it." I looked around the marketplace. "Actually, I love all of it."
"It's amazing, isn't it? Everything seems so real."
"Definitely," I agreed. "It's hard to imagine leaving this place."
"How come you didn't use your own appearance?" she asked.
"Well, I thought I'd think up something new. You know, since this is almost like another life."
She nodded, then smiled. "Well, you certainly picked a really nice form."
"Thanks."
Susie, while she looked me over, noticed the slick black book that was in my bag. Suddenly, her smile disappeared.
"What?" I asked.
She looked directly at me, with concern in her eyes. "Where did you get that book?"
"Some woman gave it to me in the market. Why? Do you know what it is?"
"David, that book is ..."
