I easily pulled him up to his feet and thanked him for the spar. This actually was a great idea. He just shrugged his shoulders. "It's alright. Not everyday I get my ass beat like that." he said. Looking around, I asked "How long do we have to wait for Liam to get back up?" He looked at me and said "He should still be rebooting now. It's not going to take that much longer though." If that was the case, I wanted to go see what it looked like. It would not be the first time I encountered an AEP unit so damaged it needed to reboot itself. We went back downstairs and rejoined with Laura and the others waiting for Liam. Since I had paid for it, I looked at the female commando. "I want that mini EMP. Have someone get it for me." I told her. She looked at one of the goons and nodded. "We were looking at getting a shipment of 5 more next week if the tech demo went well. Using your money, we'll be able to get many more manufactured and shipped out." I was give a small black device by the goon. He was the one that left the room. I looked at it and saw it had a purple Phobia logo etched on its side.
Doubting them, I asked what it was. "That is the mini EMP that you just purchased from us. The one you saw in the supply closet was a prototype. You can think of it as a back up. An insurance policy for the warehouse if this all goes wrong somehow." the female commando explained. I just sighed out loud. She did not say anything bad. I looked her up and down. Her words were not especially trustworthy though. I spent a massive 1.55 billion credits on this and Liam. If this was a clever fake, I would be so pissed off. "You know that if this doesn't work, I'm coming back to kill each and every one of you, right?" I said out loud. I wanted everyone to be on notice. "Of course it works." Laura said with a roll of her eyes. "If this works, why'd he have to go to the supply closet?" I questioned. "Because there are electronics in there. The bigger EMP needed to be secured along with the other supplies." she answered. The brute rolled his shoulder. "You can always test that out on the 'borg when you leave here. Just make sure you do it when you're far away from us." he said. I simply sighed out loud.
Even if I wanted to test it, I was not going to do so willy nilly. What if it killed rank and file PEP and AEP units? If it could disable a level 65 NPC, weaker models could be really hurt by it. There was no way I could do that to all of my clanmates. That would leave AEP units that were not in my clan. That was also a problem. My clan was in a major coalition. We also had an alliance with Wind Clan. That was 10 clans out of 13 right there. Void Clan broke their agreements with us. Due to the situation with the progenitors, they were going to attempt to take us out. It made them a good target if I wanted to test it out. The only remaining clans on the continent left to discuss were the Radiation Clan and Impact Clan. Both were now totally destroyed. Apparently the military took charge and wiped Impact clan off the map without telling the coalition. I did not put it passed them. They never liked us. I knew they did not respect us as allies either. I personally never had any contact with Impact Clan, so there was no way for me to tell if that claim was even true. I could go to their territory and look for them.
