If George had something going for him that Daniel didn't, Daniel figured he should probably figure out what that was before enacting any kind of plan to steal Fiona for himself. He walked down the street to his friend Christina's house. Daniel wasn't interested in Christina in the same way he was interested in Fiona, but Christina was one of Fiona's closest friends and confidants. If anyone could help him figure out how to win Fiona for himself, it would be Christina.
"You're an idiot, Daniel."
"I am not an idiot, read the note again!"
Christina looked over the top of her glasses at Daniel in disbelief. "This piece of plastic junk isn't going to change you into someone else. Fiona isn't interested in you anyway, and I don't think it has anything to do with your body. She's tired of you ranting about the supernatural and walking around school with stupid stuff like this thing."
"I didn't make this up. You can go to the yard sale yourself and ask the owner about it."
"Daniel. My sweet summer child. I don't need to talk to some stranger to know that this one dollar piece of costume jewelry isn't going to turn you into a hunk."
"Okay, I'll prove it to you then. If you refuse to believe it's real then let's touch it together. You'll see that I'm not crazy and I can cozy up to Fiona as her close friend tonight and get the scoop on what she likes about George."
"Again. I've told you why she likes George over you. Stupid shit like this." She sighed, it was obvious Daniel wasn't going to drop the subject and there was no chance in hell his stupid jewelry was magical anyway. "Fine. If you want to go to an all girls sleepover with Fiona in my body, I'll happily spend the evening playing videogames with your brother. If your stupid thing works like you say it does, I can figure out how to get your brother in my pants while you try to figure out how to get yourself into Fiona's pants."
Daniel beamed with excitement. He didn't wait to discuss the plan any further. He held the medallion out to Christina's hand and the two friends recoiled when it gave them both a slight shock. "Works for me. My brother is an asshole, by the way, but I guess you'll learn that first hand tonight."
