Dinner was perhaps the second most painful experience of his life, the first of course being when he sprouted massive breasts. His mother had explained to Zoe and Mikey what had happened. They were reluctant to believe her, but there was no denying the orbs on his chests were real.
Dinner had been awkward and embarassing. Jon just picked silently at his food, trying not to think about what he was going to have to do. Zoe was doing her best to be interested in the dining room floor, but Mikey continued staring at his chest....that is until his mother informed him that because of the wish he might well be growing them when he was older. Jon loved her for that, but he still thought she was too eager about the entire situation.
After dinner his mother told him to help her with the dishes while Zoe and Mikey went and did their homework.
"Have you thought about what you want to do?" His mother asked.
"A bit.." He mumbled.
"And?"
"I-I guess the best thing to do would be to just move... I'll miss Karyn, but I really don't want her to see me this way. Besides, faking my death would be really complicated, y'know?" He bit his lower lip nervously and gazed at his chest. "But what about this school? I can't just turn up missing. I have to withdraw and.."
"Don't you worry about a thing. Your mother will take care of it. You have enough to worry about!" Joan interrupted.
"Ok..." Jon breathed deeply, making his chest bounce slightly. He really didn't want to ask this question, but he had to. "You..you really think I can pass as a girl?"
"Oh, quite easily. You're a very handsome boy, Jon, but the way your face is shaped a little make up will have it looking very feminine. You should be quite pretty." She gave him a smile that he thought was meant to be reassuring, but did nothing to assuage his doubts. This whole situation was so creepy...
"If you say so.."
"Now now. What did I say about determination?" Joan wagged her finger at him the way she always did when she reprimanded him.
"Ok, it's just that, even if you can make me look like a girl...wearing make up? It's just...disturbing."
"It won't be so bad. I'm sure you'll look very pretty. And you'll get used to it in no time, I just know it."
A strange look appeared on her face. Jon didn't like it one bit. "I could...I could show you if you like. Zoe and Mikey will be in their rooms, and it's probably best to learn as soon as possible."
Jon really didn't want to learn this, but he had to admit, she was right. "Ok...just not too much for the first time, please?"
"I promise I won't overdo it. Let me go check on Zoe and Mikey, then follow me to my room." She hurried off excitedly.
