The next morning was bright and sunny.
But Nick wasn't.
He had a hard time sleeping. Mainly because he couldn't stop thinking about what had just happened. Megan clearly didn't want anything to do with him anymore. And that hurt him, because he did still love her. But he also cared about Katie. She was his friend, had been for three years. But their age gap made it impossible for him to be friends with her the same way as when he was Nicki.
He thought that he'd just slip back into his old life when he got changed back. But it wasn't so easy. He had been a girl for too long. He'd gotten used to it. Whether he liked being a girl or not was irrelevant. He felt like he should be a girl.
He stood outside Megan's bedroom, watching Katie and Megan still sleeping.
Then he turned around and walked back to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror. This might be the last time he'd see himself like this.
He looked at his watch. In another 15 minutes, he would be able to change back into Nicki. And he would have the life, that he'd gotten used to, back.
He took off his clothes and put on one of Nicki's halter tops and panties, then looked down at the Medallion that lay next to the sink. The twelve hours were over. It was time.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. "Nick? Are you in there?" It was Megan.
He opened the door.
"Nick ... what are you wearing?" she asked. Then she saw what was sitting next to the sink.
