Jess, wearing Jon's body, stood in the doorway, holding the rock and looking lost.
"Jess, why do you always have to come into my room and touch my stuff?" Jon said in his sister's voice.
"Wait, what happened to us?" Jess said. "Is that you Jon? I assume it's you in my body. What the hell is going on?"
"You wished we could live each others lives and now we have to live each other's lives... Wishes granted by the stone are irreversible, so we might be stuck like this forever..." Jon said.
"But how? I can't be you, I can't be a guy." Jessie asked.
"The rock you have in your hand... it grants wishes..." Jon said, but immediately regretted it seeing Jess's face lit up with the information.
"You have a magical rock that grants wishes?! Why hadn't you told anyone? Why are we still poor? Why are you still... well, yourself?" Jon didn't like the look on his body's face as it looked over his body in disgust.
"Jess, whatever you're thinking, please don't do anything rushed. Wishes can't be reversed, but can be wished around, so it's a matter of finding a way to wish us back to our bodies" Jon said, but he could see Jess wasn't listening.
"I could wish for anything, money, fame, beauty. Ah, but first I have to go back to my body. Rock, I wish I didn't have to live my brother's life" Jess in Jon's body said, but nothing happened. They were still switched.
"You're not listening, Jess. Wishes can't be directly contradicted, we have to wish for something else" Jon repeated.
With an annoyed look Jon didn't know his face could make, Jess just said "I don't need to do anything, 'Jess'. I have a magical stone that grants any wishes I make." sending a shiver down Jon's new body.
"I wish I, Jon, were a beautiful young girl, beautiful enough to be a super model of international fame if I want to. I wish everyone remembered me as Jennifer, thinking this is how I've always been and was born as." Jess in Jon's body said, to Jon's horror.
After a flash that made Jon look elsewhere, right where Jon's body stood moments ago was an impossibly beautiful girl. She looked like Jon, but also like Jessica. Like an enhanced version of both.
"See, Jess? That wasn't that hard. No need to reverse old wishes. Ah, and I guess me being beautiful even helped you. You're looking better, sis." Jennifer said. Jon looked down at himself and could see some changes. He did look better, at least from what he could see without a mirror.
"Why would you do that, Jess? You've ruined my life, and you were very specific. Even if we go back to our original bodies, I will be forced to live as Jennifer for the rest of my life." Jon could feel himself losing control, anger and sadness bubbling up, but not wanting to really do anything yet. Jess had proven she didn't care about wishing for anything.
"First, it's Jennifer now. YOU are Jess. Second, as per my wish, this is MY life now, not yours, and I can live it as I please. Third, you seem to forget I have a magical stone that can grant any wishes, I could easily wish you were a boy, even one named Jon, and you'd be back to your silly male existence. But dear sis, just be thankful you get to be Jessica. You're beautiful, even more so now, popular, and smart, the whole package! I wasn't a boy for long, but from those moments I can tell you, it sucks!"
With that, Jennifer went into her room and closed the door on the new Jessica's face. "What the hell just happened?" the new Jessica muttered to herself.
