On their way to Sarah's house, Jon's appearance became that of Karyn's again. Karyn was happy that Jon found her entire body attractive, but there was something unsettling about someone else looking exactly like her, especially in public.
When they got to Sarah's house, they passed by Riah (Sarah's younger sister) who was leaving to go to school. Once Riah had left, Jon stopped. "There's something funny going on," he said.
"What?"
"Karyn, the wish is that when I find a girl attractive, I'll gain some of her traits. Why didn't I gain any of Riah's traits? And why's Riah so old?"
The front door to Sarah's house was still open, but Jon decided to go after Riah instead. "Riah! I need to talk to you!"
The "girl" turned and began walking back. Jon and Karyn approached Riah.
"I was just going to school," said Riah.
"Going to school? You transformed into an adult somehow, just like Sarah... Wait a minute. The stone?"
Riah looked hopeful at the mention of the stone, but only said "I can't talk about it.
"You have to!" exclaimed Jon. "Look, I know that you were always Sarah's younger sister by one year. I also know that Sarah transformed herself. She isn't really 25, she was 16, and so you were 15. If you're this old, you must have had a wish made on you. More than one, if I guess right."
Jon didn't know all the wishes Sarah had made, but Sarah had made a mistake: Sarah had wished everyone would think Riah had always been her younger sister by one year. But Jon knew Sarah's real age. This meant that Jon would think Riah is supposed to be 15, while everyone else thinks Riah is supposed to be 24. So Jon could recognize that Riah is the wrong age, even though he wouldn't know about the rest of Sarah's wishes.
To make matters worse, Ryan's real age was 20 (author's note: see earlier text about "when he was in high school", meaning he's not in high school now.)
"Does she have the magic stone?" asked Jon.
"Right! I'm so glad someone knows about it..." said Riah.
"Did she use it on you?"
"Yes, she did. Can you stop her?"
"How did she transform you? Was changing your age all she did?"
Riah didn't say anything. He couldn't. He couldn't tell Jon and Karyn that he was a boy who looked feminine, or that his real age was neither 24 nor 15, because Sarah had wished that he couldn't tell anyone who he really was. "I can't talk about that. Anyway, I have to go to school. She wished that I'd have a fun day at school." Riah supposed he must have just entered college a few years late.
"Anything else you can talk about?" asked Jon. "Why am I not transforming into you?" He didn't know that Sarah only wished he would gain the traits of women, and Riah was really male.
"I haven't the faintest idea. Ask Sarah. Or don't. The door's still open...."
