Intensive care units on the base were somewhere that they did not need to be before now. Everyone was there waiting to see what would become of Guy. His face out in the real world looked just as horrible as it had been in the simulation. It certainly did not good. Henri did not like this situation. He had no clue what happened to Guy. An emergency like this happening right after he left was a massive coincidence. It felt way too good to be true. The doctor came out and addressed them all. Fabien had to resuscitate him and first responders needed a defibrillator. If Guy's heart had stopped at some point, things were definitely serious. "Your squad mate suffered an acute cardiac arrest. From what I can gather from the Xanadu program, something that happened in the simulation could have carried over to the outside world. I can assume that these things could be really stressful for young men. I was able to stabilize him for now. He'll be out on medical leave for the foreseeable future." This was something that would be too big to come back from. Henri just shook his head. It all felt bad now.
As things were finally crashing around him, he looked from him and then to Guy and back. "He... Guy refused to cooperate. He was sitting on the floor and didn't want to synchronize with me." he explained. All the others were just looking at him with very cold eyes. Remi was the one that scowled and said "I get it. So... he said no. Then you did to him what you did to me." Henri sucked his teeth and looked away. It was the truth. "He was fucking with me. It was sabotage. Guy is also a xenophobe." Henri said. Adam crossed his arms. "Maybe he had a point. He lost his parents in a Z'lanthrax attack. Then the child of one practically raped him for being annoying. Where did all of that hero crap go? It's pretty crazy." he said. The redhead looked at him questioningly. "What does that mean?" he asked the slacker. Adam shrugged. "You spoke a big game about being a hero for your small village. You want to protect people and make everyone you know proud. You think that they are going to be proud of what you did to Remi? He was an asshole, maybe. But Guy? That's not very heroic at all."
Just because he was angry, it did not mean that he was unfeeling. His mother was also a victim of a Z'lanthrax marauder. "Well, maybe not. I am not going to let anyone try to bring me down though. That's just a bullshit excuse he wants to give me because he didn't get his way. He should've not picked me if he wanted to do that shit. Or worked it out of Fabien." he grumbled out loud. At the end of the day, the past was in the past. What was done was done. An act like this was not something that could be taken back. In no way would Guy ever forgive Henri for this. Henri did not want his forgiveness either. He did not forgive Noel for what he did. Whether or not Remi ever forgave him was not something Henri cared about. He had been here for a couple of months. They called him the "red eyed devil" from the beginning. The only thing that really upset him was the loss of Calvin's friendship. That left him reeling and feeling depressed as the days went by. Since he was still technically partnered with Guy, he did not have a partner for the week. He would go in Xanadu with Fabien per protocol.
