Zooming back over to the barracks after eating food ahead of everyone was the best thing that Henri could possibly do at that point. He was not feeling having lunch with everyone. Jealousy was flooding him and it was making him go crazy. He never felt this way before. Back at his home, he had no one to be jealous of. He was what most people in his village thought of when they thought of a boy. There was nothing that Henri could not do if he put his mind to it. If something was needed from him, he would train and learn how to do it. With his body, he was flexible and strong. As long as he knew what to do, he could get it done fairly quickly. If there was a teacher that knew what he was doing, he could learn from them. This was different. Being in this environment was new. He did not need to train his body here. Boot camp was a total breeze. Here, he had to train his mind. Not only that, he had to reign in all of his new emotions. He was not used to this. When everyone else joined him, Adam wanted to know what the rush was for. "Sorry." was all he could say. Adam gave him a side eye.
Clearly, Adam was not trusting him. Henri did not know what to say to make him feel better. "I don't know what to do with you. All of that bullshit hanging over me and you couldn't even deliver." he grumbled. Henri looked at him in shock. Before he said something to hurt his feelings, he turned from him and pouted. Turning his head, he saw Calvin walk up to the twins. Remi and Noel watched him approach. "Hey! Congrats on the win today. I had a question for you." They nodded and waited for him to get on with it. Calvin rubbed the back of his head, clearly nervous about it. "I just wanted to know... how much would I need to pay for one of you to team up with me next week?" he asked. The twins shared a look before turning to him. Remi frowned apologetically and said "Nothing. I'm sorry, but we are pairing up again next week. We're going to switch roles." Calvin nodded his head. "Makes sense. I get it. I do." Guy looked insulted. Calvin tried to jump ship without telling him anything. Noel nodded and said "Don't worry. We plan to partner with everyone in the squad eventually. Wait a bit."
Making a point to glare at Henri, he added "We have to get rid of that big monster first anyway." Hearing that made Henri ball up his fists. It was not wise to ignore a huge threat like that. If he was going to be in danger, he had to be ready for it. Especially when said threat came from his enemies like this. He did not get along with the hybrid twins. They were like water and oil. Remi and Noel would say that he stank like a dirty animal. Henri said they smelt sickly sweet and it was nauseating. Whenever they were together, neither side could relax. Fabien had to come over and tell them to cut their shit many times. "What the hell does that mean!?" he shouted. Remi sneered and said "Exactly what we said, you Z'lanthrax bastard. The Shines were made to beat your kind, not let you pilot them. We're going to prove it after partnering with you. I know you don't belong here. If you can't connect with us, you can't do it at all." Henri furrowed his brow. "How the hell does that even make sense? How is you fucking around twice going to get me out here!?" he demanded. "Math stupid!" Noel answered.
