Support groups were great because they were safe spaces to talk about things. Whether it was about things they had concerns for or good things that they noticed in the world or about themselves. Having that space for frank conversations with people going through the same thing could be really beneficial. Liam would huff and grumble when they inevitably talked about a negative experience they had with an alpha. That was the point of having the support group in the first place. Clearly, he felt like he was the one being attacked for his gender. "It's not even like that." he would mutter to himself when someone would make a wild accusation about the bad motives of the alpha in their encounter. I would look at him and he would return it. It was kind of funny to see how uncomfortable he was. "Chill out. It's not about you. You wanted to be here, so suck it up." I said with a calm smile on my face. I did not need him causing a scene back here. He rolled his eyes before leaning in closer to me. "I just don't get why they have such huge sticks up their asses. Alphas are just people. Just deal with it."
Pointing at him, I said "The same is true about omegas. They are just people. People sometimes like to vent and be heard. Don't lie and tell me that you guys never talk shit about alpha females or omegas when it's just you alpha males around." He flinched and then harshly whispered "That's not me! The guys are just shooting the shit and hanging out." I shrugged. "Exactly. Some talk shit and some don't. These guys are talking shit because shit has happened to them. Even if you think it's totally their fault, let them get it off their chests. From what you just told me, I know that you let the other alpha males in the room talk shit about omegas like Colby and Blake. Even though you know for a fact that they are the ones in the wrong." He let his head hang guiltily after that for a while. After a while, they went their separate ways. The meeting was over and they would meet again in a week. Liam went over to Blake. "It must have been so boring for you here." Blake said. Colby snorted. "Hell no! Anna and Liam were having fun the whole time." he said. "I was fine. I couldn't let you run off."
We definitely would not escape another ass beating from the gang if we did something like that again. It was simply not worth the risk. Besides, not everyone wanted the dark deed on their conscience. Fighting and then raping a loser was what ancient tribesmen did. They were passed that as a society. As we left the classroom we had been in, a girl came up to us. "Isn't this where the omega support group meets? Why is there an alpha here!?" she asked. The way she said the word "alpha" was so dripping with disdain, that he could hardly believe we heard it. "This is where we meet weekly. The leaders are the twins. I'm Colby's boyfriend and Liam here is Blake's boyfriend. We're usually in the back to give them moral support. Was there something you wanted to know?" I explained to her. She looked irritated. "Well, I was going to join it until I learned there were alphas and beta females there." she admitted. Liam and I shared a quick look. "Well, it's just us over here. If you want to come here a bit earlier next year, you can talk to the others. I am sure that they would love to see you."
