When synchronizing with Kiseki, they were able to pair up well enough. Kazuki could not help to notice that Kiseki refused to talk to him in the generated world. He would simply arrive, suit up, get the position orders from the commanding officer, place himself in the simulator, and then get into the proper position. It did not matter if Kiseki was Topping or Bottoming. Kazuki could tell that the false redhead did not like him. That was fine. At least he kept it all to himself when they had to be together. When he was Topping, Kazuki would look down and see the Kiseki would look straight ahead and wait. Even if Kazuki wanted to start a conversation, he would not get a response from the Bottom. He had learned that very quickly. When Kiseki was Topping, Kazuki would often look over his shoulder at his partner. Kiseki had to look at Kazuki to connect the pulses. It was needed to get the Shine working. However, once he put the White Pulse into Kazuki's Black Pulse, Kiseki would look off to the side. There was not much to be done about the situation. They were 1 month in. They had 5 more to go.

The fact that they did not get along was evident. Still, the results were final. When they were in call, both of the would sit on opposite sides of the briefing room and either use hand held game consoles to pass the time or speak with others that were waiting with them. Since they were on a fixed rotation, the composition would change up each time. Kazuki could deal with it when his friends were there. On days when they were not, he played games by himself. Kazuki knew that it was all bullshit. When he got really stressed out, he would talk it out with Natsuki. She took his side and made him feel better after venting. She knew how to cook and would make him dinner. It was soon discovered that she only knew how to make curry, pasta and meatballs, and fried chicken and pork cutlets with rice or with veggies. Those 6 dishes were good enough for him. It tasted great and it was a home cooked meal. A major bonus in his book. Rei could bake really well, but she did not like to cook at all. Kazuki was very appreciative when she made cupcakes or cookies for him to take for lunch the next day.
