Getting the machine up and running was not a hassle. It had a lot of time to cool down from the day before. When the engineers gave the go ahead for the boys to begin the day of synchronization attempts, the instructors got up and went to the front of the viewing platform. It was time for them to give their speeches. They told everyone that they were proud of the 9 participants for their had work. Everyone began to clap for them. They did work their hardest to get to where they were. Kazuki had to go to the infirmary due to his exhaustion. It was then time for them to transition to speaking about Akio and Aito in particular. It was really something to hear the instructors talk about them. They went over their records in the first stage and how much they improved during the shakeup. Now that they were done, it was time for them to go up and start their attempt to synchronize. Everyone watched as the walked over to the staff to get their stuff. Because Akio was a Bottom Aito would need to Top. With all of his experience Topping, he should not have too much trouble. Jiro was also able to cope.
It was not difficult for them to get into position and emit their pulses. All of the spectators watched as they made a secure connection. Once they hit the 3 minute mark in the simulator, their world began to fade to black. All of the instructors lead a round of applause for them. Everyone joined in. Some of the boys were more enthusiastic about it than the others. Next up was the pair of Haruki and Kenji. They also got a tongue bath when it came to praise from the instructors. Every single one of them got to hear about how hard they worked. Kazuki did not need to be told that. He already knew them. Kenji looked down in embarrassment, but Haruki looked proud with himself. It was interesting how their personalities differed here. Kazuki would more than likely get his share of the praise when they let him go during the afternoon. They did not spare any details. He would like to think he would be more like Haruki in his response than Kenji. They got their stuff and went inside the cockpit. Everything in their generated world appeared normal. At least as "normal" as the twins could make.
Kenji and Haruki got into position. Both were trying to emit as much pulse as possible for the connection. During that time, Haruki's White Pulse spiked all the way up to a 78. It was only a few seconds later that he had a confirmed Pulse Burst. He thankfully angled his dick away from Kenji to ensure that he was not hurt. That was it for them. Haruki was not able to get his White Pulse higher than 6 after that level of eruption. It was recorded as a failure on their records. Everyone was silent. Not even the chatty instructors said anything about it. Next was Haruto and Kaito. They spoke at length about Haruto and how hard he had worked to improve. When they finished, it was time to talk about Kaito. All the said was. "And Kaito is here too. Hopefully he can achieve his fifth successful synchronization today." 2 sentences. Kaito's whole time spent here was condensed down to 2 sentences. It was then Kazuki understood what was going on. They did not care about the boys. They only cared about pilots they were to command. It was why those that failed were all taken out before the shakeup.
