With them being the only 2 left, that made them the final pair. The selections were now over. It was amazing luck for Aito. Kazuki and Aito had already long proven they could synchronize together with no problems. However, this was only the case with Aito being the Bottom and Kazuki the Top so far. Aito's record was 4-6 so far. He just needed one success to get through. Kazuki just needed to Bottom one more time to be registered as a Switch. He looked at Aito. "Listen. The first time we go in will be me Bottoming for you. If it fails, I will Top you twice. You'll get 6 or 7 successes either way just with me, so do me a solid here." Kazuki pitched the plan. Aito shrugged. It was not an issue for him. He did not know why it would be so important to try it out when he was already a Top, but he knew that it was a done deal now that they were together. It was then time to go to Haruki. He was sitting next to his twin. Introducing himself properly seemed like the right thing to do. Both of the twins looked him up and down. "So you're the red oni, huh?" one of them said. "He really is half Japanese."
First impressions were important. Kazuki's opinion of them lowered immediately as they gawked at them. He pointed at them. "Both of you guys are blond. That's not the most natural Japanese color either." he said. The twins looked at each other. "We dyed it because we wanted to look cooler. I'm Haruto by the way." he said. Haruki just nodded at what was said and added "I am Haruki. You'll be my partner this week." It did not look like either of the twins were intentionally trying to antagonize him. That made it hard to get too angry. Kazuki just sighed and said "We might as well discuss what we are most comfortable with. I'm trying to be a Switch, so I want to Bottom at least once with you. But if you are a firm Bottom, I can Top you twice. If you think you are a better Top, I'll Bottom all 3 times." Kazuki wanted to put the ball in his court. It was better than dictating anything to him. This shakeup was all about ensuring that the leftovers on the base could still be useful reserve pilots if needed. Kazuki already had what he needed from Aito. He could be a team player. Haruki said "I will Bottom."
It was up to them to schedule a time to go to the hangar to make their attempts. The machine took 55 minutes to boot up, so they had to do so in advance. They all had their own schedules to attend to. There was to be no idle wandering at night. It was still an active military base. This meant that you could spread it out as far between as you wanted. Or you could do it all in one go. As long as all 6 sessions were done. The 3 day cooldown was what the instructors recommended. One participant could do a session in the morning, afternoon and evening, wait 3 days and then do the same thing again on the last day. It was also a test of prudence and endurance. Some pilots could not handle the strain of multiple synchronization attempts in one day. If you tired yourself out and failed the next one, tough shit. Once it was scheduled, you had to go do it. Or you auto failed. Kazuki honestly did not know much about his own endurance. Calling both partners together, he made the decision to do both of them once on the first day. He wanted to Bottom, so that was what he would do on that day.
