Eventually, Karyn decided that the best thing to do was simply to get things over with. Jonnie was right about having the baby grow faster. She would have to give birth, but there's no reason she would have to carry the baby for months.
"I wish that Jonnie's at the hospital now and will give birth to Sarah in the next minute.
As far as Jonnie knew, things were going fine. She was given a local anesthetic but wasn't actually put to sleep. The position was weird, she wasn't on her back like they show in the movies. Still, she had learned all she could about birth and even went to birth classes... Just one more push...
After that, Sarah was out of her womb. No, she wasn't pregnant for nine months. She certainly hadn't gone to any classes. She thought everything was normal, but now she knew it wasn't... "Karyn, how could you do this!" she yelled.
Karyn opened the door to Jonnie's room. Jonnie was lying down in the hospital gown, a baby in a crib right beside her. "Hi, Jon...nie..." she said. "Are you awake?"
"Yeah, I'm awake," replied Jonnie. "How'd they let you in anyway?"
"Oh, it was easy when you have a magic stone. Look, I'm sorry about all of this."
"Easy for you to say," replied Jonnie. "You didn't give birth."
"I almost did, I really wasn't thinking about what I was doing."
"I suppose I wouldn't have done any better... in fact, I didn't do any better. I guess I shouldn't have yelled at you, I did do the same to you until you changed it."
Karyn looked at Jonnie, puzzled.
"I yelled at you after the birth. I bet they think I yelled at the father or something. Don't know many guys named Karyn."
"I have the stone," said Karyn. "I never left it at home. Now all we need to do is fix all of this. I don't think you ever said you wanted to be a girl, did you?"
"Would I do a thing like that? No, I never did say that."
"Okay, so we can reverse it. You never wished for it, it just happened as a side effect of erasing Sarah. We also need to fix Sarah herself... can't restore her old body but we can do something to her new one."
"Yeah, go ahead and do it, Karyn. This is too weird."
