Walking over to the staff, he got his visor and put it on by himself. He got on his side of the simulator and bent forward. All Kazuki had to do was get through the next few minutes and he would never have to interact with Minato again. That was an almost comforting thought. Minato walked over with a deep frown on his face. "What do you think you're doing!? Standing me up is not how you do things here. You swore you would do this. Or is the word of a foreigner not worth anything!?" he berated his new partner. Kazuki ignored him completely. That made Minato even more annoyed with Kazuki. Just as it looked like he was going to grab at Kazuki, the engineers operating the machine called out to them. "Hey! You don't have all day. The allotted time for today's synchronization session is over in 7 minutes. Cut the shit and get into position, recruit. Figure whatever this is out later." was what he said. It made Minato very flustered. He was not used to getting in trouble. He hurried up and got the visor. Climbing into the proper position took no time at all. He was ready to begin. Kazuki was over it.
Once the visors fell over their eyes, the simulated room began to form around both of them. Kazuki got on the bed and assumed the position. The sooner that he could get this done, the sooner that it would be over. He only had to last until the 3 minute mark. If there were any complications, it would continue until all the time elapsed for the session. Even then, that was only 2 minutes longer. Kazuki closed his eyes and shut out everything around him. It was useless at the moment to dwell on that kind of stuff. He was here to make things work. Instead, he focused on emitting the most Black Pulse that he could. Minato had never Topped anyone before. It just made sense to do the best that he could. If he could get this to be a success, this would help him prove that he could be a Switch. Even if Minato was weak as a Top, it would be fine if the Black Pulse was high enough. Pushing himself to the very limit, he got himself to a decent 68. Kazuki could feel that he was not going to do any better. If he did too much, he might lose what he had. He opened his eyes and looked over his shoulder.
To his surprise, Minato was flopped on the bed right next to him. Kazuki was startled by him. Minato just sneered at him in response. "What the fuck are you doing!? Emit your White Pulse so we can synchronize already!" was what Kazuki snapped when he regained composure. Minato looked at him and said "And why would I even want to synchronize with you?" he asked. Kazuki narrowed his eyes and gasped in exasperation. "Are you serious? If it doesn't work, we get a failure on our records. I thought you were going for a perfect streak." he said. Minato shrugged his shoulders. "I made 8 successful synchronizations in a row. I did it with everyone else in the squad. No one will care if it falls through with you." he said in a non chalant tone. Kazuki rolled his eyes. "That's a great excuse for not being able to emit any White Pulse." he said bitingly. That hit Minato directly where it hurt: his pride. It forced him to say "My grandfather was a great Top. It runs as much in my veins as Bottoming does, fool!" "Then prove it!" Kazuki yelled. Minato started emitting a White Pulse. Something happened.
