Jon got out his cell phone--or rather, Sarah's cell phone--and dialed Karyn's number from memory.
"Hello?" she said.
"Hello. Karyn?"
"Who is this? Sarah?"
"It's not Sarah. It's me, Jon!"
"Jon, if it's you, how did you become a girl?"
"The stone!"
"That's impossible," said Karyn. "If you had been changed to a girl by the stone, I wouldn't remember you."
"It's a long story, Karyn," replied Jon. "It started when Sarah tried to steal the stone. After a lot of trouble, I wished that she obeys orders. Then we accidentally swapped bodies with an order. The stone seems to think that I count as her when I'm in her body, so now I have to obey orders. But then when she tried to get her own body she wished herself to where she was two hours ago."
"Hold it, hold it! You mean you're Jon, but Sarah has the stone?"
"No, I have the stone. It didn't go with her, but she wished that I couldn't make any wishes. We need to meet somewhere before she can find us. We already know that... wait a minute. What am I thinking? We don't need to meet anywhere."
"Huh? Jon... you're not making any sense."
"Look, Karyn, it makes perfect sense. Sarah and I both made a lot of wishes and we couldn't reverse them. Right?"
"I suppose."
"But I could still order her to reverse wishes. Like she made her breasts big, and they couldn't be wished small... but I could order her breast size to be smaller and reverse the wish that way."
"All right."
"Now, I'm the one who counts as Sarah and has to obey orders."
"Right..."
"So I can't reverse that with a wish... but you can reverse it with an order. Just order me to use wishes!"
"Uhh, okay. I order you to be able to use the stone to make wishes again. I also order you to not obey orders unless you want to."
"That's it, Karyn! I wish I and the room are clean, and I wish you were here."
Karyn materialized in the middle of the room. "I'll never get used to moving around like this!" she said.
"I know," said Jon, "it's still weird... but it proves the whole thing worked."
"By the way," said Karyn, "what was that about being clean?"
"Oh, never mind," said Jon. She didn't feel like explaining the oral sex to Karyn. "Anyway, I need to fix the rest of this. I wish I was in my Jon body again."
A second later, Karyn, watching Jon, pointed out the obvious. "Nothing happened."
"I don't get it," said Jon. "I wish I knew why that didn't work... oh, crap, Sarah wished she was always like herself. Just like the orders wish got moved to me, so did that one. So I have to stay like Sarah, but I think an order can override this too."
Karyn was about to order Jon to change his body to Jon's, which would have been great, except that at that moment Sarah threw the door open and lunged for Jon and Karyn and the rock....
