Fortunately, Jon(nie) had just wished that the stone responds to a cow trying to speak English as if the cow was speaking English, and therefore could still make wishes on the stone. Jonnie walked over to the stone and tried talking to Karyn. "Karyn, I think I'd better make these wishes after all...."
Karyn moved away and Jonnie touched the stone with a hoof. "I wish I was good at fixing wishes," bleated Jon.
There were so many wishes in effect that fixing it all was complicated, but she thought she'd try. She had to be very careful.
But before she made any more wishes, she suddenly caught sight of something nearby. It looked like a dead cow... which she could swear wasn't there before. Jonnie shrugged and swatted a fly with her tail.
"I wish that Karyn and I would always be together because we're always friends, not because we have to be the same species."
Jonnie turned back into a teenage girl. The dead cow was gone.
"What's going on?" bleated Karyn.
Jonnie, reading Karyn's mind as per another wish, knew what she was saying and replied "I don't know. But I can find out. I wish I knew why that dead cow appeared and vanished..." Then Jonnie broke out in laughter.
"What's so funny?" bleated Karyn.
"Sarah wished I'd be her sister. We can't reverse the wish, so if I turn into a cow, so does she so we're still sisters. If she's dead, she's my dead sister and turns into a dead cow. Now, let's see what I can do about you..." Jonnie knew that there were two main wishes to fix: the cow wish, and the milk wish. Both were annoyingly direct and Jonnie still couldn't figure out what to do about them.
