Vanessa picks up the egg and pockets it quickly.
"Well Molly, was it, I think I am going to need to keep Polly so I can help her. You have been so sweet, is there anything I can do for you? You know working at the news station, I can sometimes pull a few strings to get things done and maybe you would like something for being such an honest girl."
Vannessa reaches over and puts her finger for Polly to climb onto.
Polly climbs up and is soon perched on Vanessa's shoulder.
Polly says, "Thanks Vanessa for believing me."
Molly says, "Well, I don't have my bird now. But really if you could help my Mom, she been mistreated by my stepdad a lot lately since he lost his job. If there is anything you could do about that. Please."
Vanessa tells the girl not to worry, things will work out fine and sends her on home.
