The two had stared at one another, but as the seconds ticked by both of them began to frown, then their brows began to knit up, and before long the two were hugging each other dearly with wet eyes and apologies on their lips.
"Oh my god Jon. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry I said any of it. I've just been so emotional since this all began."
"I wish I could take it back Karen. I wish I could take it all back. I shouldn't have brought any of that up. I don't actually think thish ish eashy for you."
The reconciliation continued, and by the end of the embrace all offense had been forgotten.
They sat silently on Jon's bed, staring at the wall. Karen had come over to ask Jon to shave or wax so that she could, but now she didn't have the heart to ask that of her. And so they sat.
Jon furrowed her brow in thought, and looked over to Karen. "Karen... Thish... thish actually givesh me an idea."
She looked at him oddly. "What do you mean?"
"Well, what if Sharah had to shee what it was like to be us?"
"I don't follow. I mean, of course if we could force her to endure this too, she might let us change it all back, but what good does that do us? we can't make wishes without her permission." Karen grits her teeth. "She can even disapprove parts of a wish as long as they happen one at a time."
Jon nods. "Yeah, she hash to trick us into making wishesh. But we have to trick her into approving wishesh."
Karen looks at Jon sideways. "What do you have in mind?"
Jon begins to smile. "Clearly she can approve wishess even when she'sh not here. Sho she must be able to hear them, right?" Karen nods. "But what if she doesn't know who's making them, or who they're directed at?"
Karen begins to light up. "Do you really think...?" her voice trailed off. "So all we have to do is be ambiguous about who we're talking to! We have to make sure it's her, but make sure she doesn't know it's her!"
Jon nods her head and waddles over to her computer. "Here I'll pull up her facebook, and then we can wish it on her picture!"
Karen and Jon both began to laugh as they crafted their wishes... Finally a bit of retribution...
