Much to her relief, the buzzing stopped there. Maybe they hadn't found anything out... She smacked herself on the head, but she'd probably just given herself away after that outburst of hers. Only time would tell, but until then she had to keep her composure.
A couple of tingles assaulted her mind throughout the day, increasing her frustration, but she never let them linger long enough to feel what the wishes were for. Instead she just kept muttering "denied" under her breath.
"Huh? Did you say something Sarah?" A classmate asked her during one of the wishes.
"Not at all." She beamed a smile, but inside she grumbled These two are making her look foolish! Well, she knew just how to make them pay.
The rest of her day rolled around relatively uneventfully, and when PE came, Sarah already had her plan worked out. Strangely she couldn't find Agatha anywhere, but Karen was here, and that was enough for her. She smirked, and waltzed up to the female's PE coach.
"Mrs.Arden?" She began sweetly.
"Hmm? Oh, What's up Sarah?"
"I don't want to make a fuss at all, and I... well I wouldn't have a problem with it myself, but there's something I think you should know."
"Yes?" The PE coach responded patiently. She didn't much care for the games, but Sarah seemed genuine enough.
"Well, some of the girls are saying that Karen... You know... Kaden... was looking at them. They felt uncomfortable about it, but didn't want to say anything."
The coach sighed, and looked Sarah in the eye. "Is that right? Alright, I'll take care of it." She stated dryly as she jogged off.
Sarah could only beam at her own cleverness, and felt vindicated for those annoying wishes that plagued her throughout the day. She could only smirk as Karen was walked over to the coaches office to change. It was twice as effective for her because this way, they'd be more likely to cave in and give her the stone.
She really would fix them once she had the stone! She insisted upon herself. She's not evil...!
The rest of her day continued well into the night, and no more wishes bothered her. Apparently the message had been sent. It wasn't until she was nice and comfortable in a hot bath that evening that the tingling returned again.
She actually let these play out in her mind, curious enough to endure the buzzing to hear what the wish was.
"I wish that everything were back to normal!"
She giggled. "Nope!"
"I wish that you didn't need braces?"
she shook her head. "Puhleeze, You've got to be kidding. After I went through all that trouble to give them to you? Denied."
"I wish that you both had the knowledge from this life?"
"As if I'd let you off that easily. Silly."
"I wish that I was the sexiest girl at school?"
"Psh... who's doing this wishing? Karen? No Way!" she said out loud
"I wish you were the school mascot?"
Sarah sat up in her bath. This... now this had potential. She could only assume the "you" in the wish was dorky little Agatha, but the question remained... Yes, or no? She certainly wouldn't look foreword to having to deal with her during their sets, but then again, she wouldn't have to see the dorks face either. Bryan, the current mascot, was terrible too. All he did was walk up and down the field with his arms crossed, so it's not like Agatha could do any worse.
The deciding factor was the understanding that Agatha probably wouldn't want to be the mascot. And that gave her leverage. With a growing sneer she utters. "Granted..." Then slowly sinks back into her steaming bath...
