Karyn thought over the changes to herself. And the more she thought about it, the more she was furious at herself. She felt like an idiot! The fool from the stories of people finding a genie and making stupid wishes that ruin everything. That was her!

But then a crazy thought occurred to her. Jon was a buddy. Surely, he would be willing to take away the responsibility for it. Or the knowledge of it at least. She called him on the phone that night on the matter.

"I want you to make me forget about the magic stone."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I want you, to make me forget it, and also, me, make me, um, think that I just inexplicably woke up like this, with long blonde hair, and the big boobs. So that I don't have any idea how it happened. I see myself in the mirror, and I can't, get past, that I did this to myself, with a stupid wish. I don't want to know why it's like this."

"Hmm. But isn't that, not going to, change how others. I mean, they'll still remember you as always having the long blonde hair and bigger breasts. Or do you want me to wish them to remember you as you were, and be very shocked that you now look like this?"

Karyn thought this over. "No, that would be even worse. They'd probably put me through all sorts of medical tests, and I'd be made fun of in school. I guess, leave everyone else's memories alone."

"What about me? I remember you as you were, not as you are. I mean, do you want me to forget what you used to be like too?"

"NO! I mean, you'll still have the stone. If you did make yourself forget, you'd figure out what happened anyway because I'm not asking you to give up the stone and forget it yourself, so you, you'd put 2 and 2 together and figure out what was up with me. I guess you have to be the one other who remembers."

"But then I can't ever share the stone with you. As the only one else who remembers how you used to be, you'll already be suspicious I somehow had something to do with it, so if you ever learn I have a magic stone, you'll definitely jump to the conclusion I did this to you."

"Oh. Hm. Well. I kind, of, know you're looking out for me. We could wish that I'll always trust you no matter what? No, that's too far. No one should give up their mental faculties to that extent. You'll just, have to keep it secret from me. In fact, keep remembering the old me, but don't let me know that, and act like you remember the new version. But maybe, it's more fun, if you don't let me know about the stone?" Karyn pondered.

"I don't know," Jon said.

"I also should be made to know, that everyone remembers me the new way. Otherwise, I'll start off trying to hide my changes from everyone, not knowing that's how they all remember it," Karyn continued.

"Are you serious about this?" Jon asked.

Karyn hesitated and then said "Yeah. I think I am. Just, do it, please, ok? I don't want to remember."

"Right now?"

"Yeah. Right now. At the end of this phone call. Good... good night Jon." And Karyn hung up.

Jon slowly set down the phone. He got the stone and held it in his hand.

And a thought occurred to him.

"I could do, more to her, than just the 2 changes she already has," he thought. "Maybe, something she'd get a kick out of? Or maybe, something we'd both enjoy? But what?"

Well, no time like the present. "I wish..."
